Take your algorithm and shove it.

How did we get here?
The first algorithm based personalised feed in Facebook was introduced in 2009 – just 17 years ago. The OG Skynet source code. The first glimpse of the great enshittification of our feeds.
And now every conversation has to filter through it in a futile game of engagement whack-a-mole.

We no longer connect, gather and chat. We market ourselves dictated by the rules of the algorithms. Make a Tik Tok, a reel, a meme, a carousel. Make sure you grab attention within 15 seconds, actually make that 6 seconds, no 3 seconds. And put it in an email too.
Share your message once? Nah mate. Share your message three times a week across 6 different channels in 6 different formats for the rest of your life.
Connecting on social media is exhausting. But here we are. Shouting into the void.
And now they have ALL OF OUR DATA.

And the broligarchs wielding the algorithmic power also happen to be cartoonish super villains protecting sex traffickers, rapists, paedophiles, cannibals and war mongers. The evidence is as overwhelming as it is unsurprising. We are their subjects and they know it.

How. Did. We. Get. HERE.
Murdoch killed our connection to the truth and now algorithms have killed our connection to each other. And connection comes at an increasing cost. A booming industry ripe for exploitation as third spaces get franchised, segmented and paywalled.
But now you have a way to opt out. An algorithm-free corner of the internet prioritising community over capitalism, the planet over polluters, freedom over fascism and justice over genocide.

Coveys Village. A new social media platform that offers an offramp from the runaway train of outrage and leads back to the real world of community and connection.
No ads. No algorithms. No AI slop. No selling of your data. FOREVER.
